Should net be restricted to a few or accessible to all?

India's popular online survey and market research company, Opinion Bureau conducted a poll on the to capture the response of consumers on net neutrality. There was an ongoing debate on the exercise of preferences given to certain e-commerce websites by certain internet service provider companies. All across the globe, such practices have been discouraged as it restricts the right to facilities or services. It is an agreed conjuncture that the internet should be accessible without any bias or prejudices. There have been instances and steps by some companies to tie up with net service providers to speed up the access to certain e-commerce websites.


Obviously, these efforts are designed to benefit certain merchants. After facing the opposition by the social media users, the regulators have taken up this issue and intervened. There has been a regulation discouraging this practice. In India, there was the talk about such prejudices. People who were aware of this kind of favoritism were against it. To capture the response of the consumers on this, Opinion Bureau conducted a poll and asked the participants to share their opinion.

A total of 1400 participants voiced their opinion. Out of these percent is 70% of the people that is thousand people number of people said that favoritism should be discouraged. Net neutral lady must be upheld. 20% of the people said it did not seem to be affected by this move and they denied such a ban. 12% of the participants were not sure about the decision.
