The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of a country is a measure of its national success. It is indicative of the economic growth observed during a particular period, reflecting where the economy stands vis-vis the entire world. It is interesting to note that the GDP is not just an economic concept, but social, political, cultural, and religious events impact its outcome too. Like in the current times with the world gripped in the throes of the pandemic the GDP has and will take a hit.
To add to the complexity of the situation is how the government handles the task. And so, we conducted a poll with 1,659 respondents, asking them whether they think India's GDP will rise as expected under the current government. 35.24% agree with the statement, while 18.07% strongly agree with it. 23.80% of the respondents maintain a neutral stance, as 13.98% disagree and 8.92% strongly disagree with the claim. With such varied opinions, we can only cross our fingers and hope that everything turns out well. For more information visit opinion bureau's blog.
